Dressing Consciously

In our quest to bring ever more light into the slumbering corners of our life, let us choose this week to be as fully aware of ourselves as possible whenever we put on or take off an article of clothing, in the most general sense of the term. We apply this to anything we wear: shoes, socks, jacket, shirt, blouse, pajamas, bathrobe, hat, glasses, jewelry, watch, backpack, purse, makeup and so forth.

At the very least we aim to be aware of the sensations in our hands as we touch the piece of clothing. An if possible at those moments, we bring ourselves into contact with sensation of our whole body, as well as noticing our thought-stream and emotions.

For this week, work on dressing consciously, dressing with full self-awareness.
