Prayer
in a Time of War
In wartime, some people die while others suffer terribly without dying.
Regardless of our own view of the rightness or wrongness of a particular war, we
face the question of what can I do to help, as a person who aspires to follow a
spiritual path. One way we can help is by directing our prayers toward the
benefit of those who are dying and/or suffering. The inner world offers a venue
in which we can provide effective help by the quality and direction of our
prayers.
During war, take some time each day to direct your prayers to the aid
of combatants and non-combatants suffering the effects of the war.
